Desktop Settings

The Desktop section is only available inside the Electron desktop app.

It includes two areas: Desktop updates and Data location.

Desktop updates

Available controls include:

Check now to manually check for updates
Auto-download updates toggle
Download update when a newer version is available
Restart to apply when an update is ready

The panel also shows status details such as:

last checked time
release version information
published date
download progress
last error, when relevant

When OrcaQ is running outside the desktop app, the updater UI explains that desktop updates are only available in Electron.

Data location

The desktop app can show local paths for:

Native data path
Web storage path
App log file

The panel also includes actions to:

Open folder
Open log

These paths help when you need to inspect local persistence or collect logs for troubleshooting.
